Gestern wurde Microsofts Software-Marktplatz offiziell gestartet.

Über den sogenannten 'Windows Mobile Catalog' bietet Microsoft zahlreiche Anwendungen für sein mobiles Betriebssystem an.

Ziel des 'Windows Mobile Catalog' ist es nicht nur, einen zentralen Ort für Windows Mobile-Anwendungen zu haben, sondern auch ein Konkurrenzprodukt zu Apples App Store auf die Beine zu stellen. Dort wurden allein innerhalb des ersten Halbjahres nach dem Start 500 Millionen Anwendungen heruntergeladen.
