Neu daran ist, dass es ab 10.10 zwei Versionen gibt. Die normale Catalyst Software Suite und AMD Catalyst Accelerated Parallel Processing (APP) Technology Edition. Dieses Paket enthält die OpenCL-Laufzeitumgebung. Dadurch wird die bisherige Marke ATI Stream ersetzt.

Neu ist auch die Unterstützung von 3D-Blu-ray-Discs. Allerdings erst ab der Radeon HD 6800 Serie.
