Chrome 42 - kein Silverlight-Plugin mehr für Sky Go, Maxdome und Co.

Mit der neuesten Chrome-Version (Chrome 42) hat Google den Support für das Silverlight-Plugin deaktiviert, dadurch kann bspw. Sky Go oder Maxdome nicht mehr damit laufen.

Hat mich etwas Zeit gekostet vor ein paar Wochen um das zu finden :-)

Mittels chrome://flags/#enable-npapi kann das Feature aber noch bis September 2015 aus Kompatibilitäts-Gründen aktiviert werden - danach soll Silverlight gar nicht mehr mit Chrome laufen.
Mittlerweile gibt es neuere Techniken, wie HTML5, die auch Video-Wiedergabe ohne Silverlight problemlos ermöglichen.

Durch die Deaktivierung des NPAPI-Supports soll Chrome noch schneller und stabiler laufen..
