Für Windows Vista Ultimate stehen ab sofort alle Sprachpakete gratis zum Download bereit. Microsoft hat jetzt wie versprochen 19 weitere Sprachpakete veröffentlicht, wodurch sich die Anzahl aller verfügbaren Sprachpakete auf 35 erhöht.

Das Windows Vista Multilingual User Interface Pack (MUI) für die Ultimate-Version ist gratis. Damit kann Windows Vista parallel in verschiedenen Sprachen genutzt werden, wobei die gewünschte Betriebssystem-Sprache mit dem Login des Anwenders verknüpft wird. Interessant ist dieses Feature beispielsweise für Haushalte, in denen Personen leben, die unterschiedliche Sprachen sprechen.

Neu hinzugekommen sind folgende Sprachpakete:

Bereits vor einigen Monaten erschienen die Sprachpakete Chinesisch (Hongkong SAR), Chinesisch (vereinfacht), Dänisch, Englisch, Finnisch, Französisch, Italienisch, Japanisch, Koreanisch, Niederländisch, Norwegisch, Portugiesisch (Brasilien), Russisch, Schwedisch und Spanisch.
Zugleich gibt Microsoft bekannt, dass die Datei Ipksetup.exe aktualisiert worden ist. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Komponente, die für die Installation der Sprachpakete zuständig ist. Alle Sprachpakete sind in Windows Vista Ultimate über Windows Update unter "Extras" herunterladbar.

1.0 Requirements
- Windows XP / Vista
- Outlook 2007
- Virusscan (In order that Outlook 2007 allows access to its items)
- Abyss Web Server X1 (Free download under: http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/download.php)

2.0 Installation

2.1 Outlook Webinterface

Extract the files in any directory you like, e.g. C:\OutlookWebInterface.

2.2 Abyss Web Server X1

Outlook Webinterface has been developed for and tested with Abyss Webserver X1. You can get
it free under http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/download.php. Don't install the webserver as a
Windows service because the webserver must be launched under the same useraccount as outlook.
After installation of the webserver launch the configuration interface http://127.0.0.1:9999/.
Now on the mainpage select "Configure" and then "General". In "Documents Path" insert the Path
to the Outlook Webinterface files, e.g. C:\OutlookWebInterface and then press "OK". After that
press the "ASP.NET Parameters" button and then the "Add" button. Insert "/" in the "Virtual Path"
field (without the quotationmarks) and select 2.0 in the ".NET Version" dropdown. Again press "OK"
and then click on the "Restart" button.

The Outlook Webinterface should now be available under your IP. The default username
and password are "user". You should change these immediately under the address admin/Default.aspx.
