Hallo, ich möchte ein mir von Samsung bereit gestelltes Firmware Update auf meine 2 TB am eSata angeschlossenen Externen HDDs installieren. Hab die exe auf eine Diskette geschoben und die Bootpriorität auf Floppy gesetzt, doch es passiert nichts, ausser , dass die Meldung kommt " Entfernen sie Datenträger und drücken sie beliebige Taste". Was mach ich falsch?

Hier mal der Inhalt des Samsung Supports zur Firmware:

If identify commmand is issued from host during NCQ write command in the condition of PC , write condition is unstable. So It can make the loss of
written data.(Model : F4EG HD204UI, HD204UI/Z4, HD204UI/UZ4, HD155UI, HD155UI/Z4, HD155UI/UZ4)
To improve this problem, Please use the attached DOS model patch tool.
1. Please unzip attached file to Bootable media (USB,CD, Floppy...etc).2. Please connect Target HDD to Primary / Mast.3. Booting the system to DOS mode by bootable
media.(which with this F/W flash program).4. Please run " F4EG ".5. When FW Flash successfully message display , please Power Off system, to make F/W flash
complete.
Note: Please do not warm boot(Ctrl+Alt+Delet , or push Reset button..etc) your PC during the F/W patch. Warm boot can make F/W Patch fail and
make unexpected problem on HDD.

Hallo !

Win XP , S-ATA, Samsung SP 1614C

Die Festplatte taucht weder im Gerätemanager noch in der Datenträgerverwaltung auf.

Bei der Defragmentierung sind aber alle Partitionen sichtbar !?!?!?
Chkdsk ... /f /r bringt keine Erkenntnisse
Diskpart erkennt die Festplatte auch nicht.

Das Samsung Festplatten Tool findet keine Fehler ?

Sehr seltsam. Hat jemand schon diese Effekte auch schon mal gehabt ?

PS: Windows läuft !?!?!?
