Hi, also ich habe mir einen 2GB USB Stick, den Sony Micro Vault Tiny, gekauft. Das Problem ist das da zwar drauf steht das er Ready Boost fähig ist nur das es auf Windows 7 RC nicht geht. Da steht bei Eigenschaften auch Ready Boost aber dann steht da:

"This Device cannot be used for Ready Boost.The Device does not have the required performance characteristics for use in speeding up your system"

Heißt das der Stick ist zu lahm oder was??? Und kann mir jemand nen Tipp geben wie das vielleicht doch funktioniert?

Ich habe nach langen hin und her mit dem Soundblaster-Support an einer Lösung für den Mikrofon-Boost, +20db Anhebung, für Audigy(LS)-Soundkarten getüftelt.
Da diese Funtion noch nicht im Treiber (Vista-Soundmanagment) verfübar ist, kann dies nur über einen zusätzlichen Registereintrag erfolgen.
Dies wurde nun erstmals nur mit einer Audigy-LS erfolgreich getestet.
Es kann daher gut möglich sein, das es mit allen Audigy-Soundkarten funtioniert, dessen Funktion nicht über das Vista-Soundmanagment verfügbar ist.

Daher, zumindest für die LS Versionen, folgende Anleitung:

[b]1.[/b] Treiber downloaden und installieren...

[b]3.[/b] "micboost_on.reg" downloaden, ausführen und zusammenführen (siehe Download unten)
[b]4.[/b] Mikrofon Ausgabe auf 0 setzen, um evtl. Rückkopplung zu vermeiden! ( Siehe Bild)
[b]5.[/b] Neu Starten ... fertig.

Wäre net, wenn ein Mod oder Admin diesen Beitrag Sticky setzen würde.

Hallo zusammen.

Um den Spekulationen, wann Ready-Boost-Fähig und wann nicht, hier die Mindestanforderungen von Microsoft für die Nutzung als Ready-Boost-Stick.

Mindestens 500 MByte Kapazität.
Datentransferraten von mindestens 5 MByte/s (lesend) und 3 MByte/s (schreibend).

[b]Information about Windows ReadyBoost

1.The Windows ReadyBoost technology (formerly code-named “EMD”) makes PCs more responsive by using flash memory on a USB drive, SD Card, CF Card, or other memory form factor to boost system responsiveness. 
2.To use Windows ReadyBoost, PCs must be preinstalled with Windows Vista™ and have access to a non-volatile flash memory buffer with at least 1GB of storage capacity.  The flash memory buffer must also meet the requirements for random reads and random writes specified in the Windows Vista Logo “Storage-0009 WLP” specification:

5 MB/sec throughput for random 4k reads across the entire device
3 MB/sec throughput for random 512k writes across the entire device[/b]
3.Microsoft recommends that the manufacturers confirm that a particular flash device exhibits the above capabilities by downloading and executing the self test kit before claiming that a device enables the Windows ReadyBoost feature.  The self-test kit may be downloaded from Microsoft.
