Windows 7 Installation 'Bild für Bild'

Die Installation von Windows 7 basiert meiner Meinung nach eindeutig auf Vista.
Wie es mit den Veränderungen aussieht, kann ich im Moment noch nicht sagen, wird aber bei Gelegenheit nachgeholt.

Hallo werte Forengemeinde!

Ich habe ein Problem mit meinem Drucker unter Vista.

Drucker:
All-in-one Brother DCP-7030 (certified for windows vista)

Laptop:
OS: Vista Home Premium (32 bit)

Desktop PC:
OS-1: Vista Home Premium (32 bit)
OS-2: XP Home (32 bit)


Ich habe den Drucker auf meinem Desktop PC unter XP und Vista nach Installationsanleitung installiert und dort funktioniert alles einwandfrei (Scannen und Drucken; Kopieren läuft direkt über das Gerät). Danach habe ich den Drucker auf meinem Laptop installiert. Er wird in der Druckersystemsteuerung als "Bereit" angezeigt, aber sobald ich drucke ändert sich der Status in "Fehler". Zusätzlich gibt es im Tray ein Symbol welches den Status anzeigt und dort ist der Status immer "Offline". Auf meinem Desktop-PC steht dort ein "Bereit/Energiesparen" aber nie ein "Offline", außer ich ziehe das Datenkabel.

Eigenartig... auf einem Vista läuft er, auf dem anderen scheint er korrekt installiert, aber läuft nicht. Könnte es mit dem Virtuellen USB-DruckerPort zusammenhängen?
Ich habe die Dienste beider Vistas verglichen und andere Einstellungen die mir eingefallen sind. Es gab keine Unterschiede.
Das Scannen läuft allerdings auf meinem Laptop! Es liegt also wirklich nicht direkt an der Verbindung sonder höchstwahrscheinlich am virtuellen Drucker Port oder ähnlichem.
Ich habe auch auf beiden Vistas noch nie einen Drucker installiert gehabt, und habe die Installationsroutine bei beiden Vistas identisch ausgefüht.

Für eure Hilfe wäre ich echt dankbar.
Auch wenn ihr keine sichere Lösung habt, sondern Vermutungen... immer her damit. Diese verhelfen evtl. zu einem Geistesblitz... ich weiß zumindest nicht mehr weiter.
